I saved some photos from txt messages to my iphone photos to free up storage space. They then uploaded to icloud photos as usual. However, they appear as new photos rather than appearing in the sort by date order as the other photos. How do I fix this?

Please keep in mind that photos will sort by the date they're added or taken, not by the date they were received or taken by someone else.

Unfortunately all the photos were taken by other people and attached to texts sent to me which, as you explain, is why they are shown as some of the 'newest' photos. I'm bummed, but understand. In the future I think saving them as they are received would solve the problem.
