Battery Won't Always Charge

My. Macbook Pro (2015) does not always charge now. It is not the adapter. After trying multiple things, including getting rid of what was probably a perfectly fine thunderbolt, I know have learned little tricks to get it to charge like plugging everything in and then when it does not charge, unplugging the main charger at the surge protector strip and plugging back in. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a fix? I love my Macbook. I run my whole business off of it. TIA!
