Are you saying you are receiving notifications for everything, or vice versa, nothing at all?

Anyways, in the Watch app, check under Notifications > Messages, which setting do you have active there?

If you select Custom > Allow Notifications, then all messages should start appearing. Or you can send them to Notification Centre.

Similarly, many other apps under Notifications allow controlling this manually, or you may mirror the setting on your iPhone.
