You can use any Apple branded power/charging adapter with your 2013, iPad Air 1st generation.

You can use any Apple charger with the iPhone 7 while having the correct cable USB A to Lightning or USB-C to Lightning. Even the most powerful brick for the MBP 16" will charge with no problems because the iPhone will draw just enough power to be charged.
