my iPhone was lost by UPS or stolen
Hello, it appears my iPhone was stolen from the UPS drop off location. Verizon has not received it from the trade in program. Can't Apple tell if the phone was activated to a new plan?

You need to deal with UPS; Apple does not become involved unless they shipped it or had it shipped. Why do you think Verizon is getting it - is that where you sent it? Usually, devices are sent to certain third party partner companies.
So, contact UPS and Apple (if needed) using the tracking information you have (if any). And do get a track record in writing so you have proof. Did you take pics of the device before putting it in the box?
