Airpods pro spatial audio issue

Hi. I’m confused about what I’m hearing and what I’m supposed to hear. When spatial audio is on, I don’t feel it. It kinda works, the sound is not that flat, but beside this, I don’t feel much, I can’t tell direction or distance, I don’t feel if something behind me or above, near or far, it all sounds almost indistinguishable. I only feel direction when i turn my head, not drastically though.

So am I missing something or is it how it supposed to work?

Model is A2084 and version 3E751.

Iphone 12, IOS 14.5.1

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 14

I was asking if what I described I was hearing with spatial audio turned on is what I’m supposed to hear, so to listen to the demonstration does not answer my question, because doesn’t tell if what I hear in there is what I’m supposed to hear. Because if it is, than it’s disappointing and I want to make sure there’s isn’t an issue with my airpods.

So to answer my question is to share your own experience with spatial audio or to tell if my experience which I shared is right or not

When I listen to the demo in settings I can hear the difference. When I listen to any actual content, for example Apple Music Dolby Atmos Hi Res Lossless etc., I hear no difference at all. I can turn spatial audio off and on in settings while listening and there is no effect whatsoever. Colour me extremely disappointed. (Using Airpods Pro with the latest iPad Pro.)

It doesn’t describe experience of spatial audio via AirPods pro, nor it confirms or rejects what I described above as supposed experience of spatial audio and thus doesn’t answer my question.
