I recently noticed that when I print a color photo from within the Photos for MacOS app, I get thin vertical lines. When I open the same photo in Preview and print from Preview, I get no vertical lines.
Any idea why?
(My printer is an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw)
I'm going to guess that your printer settings in the two apps are different.
Thanks for the quick response. There really aren't a lot of printer settings available when printing from Photos. Here's what I get from Photos:

When you press the print button in photos, you should then get the print pane similar to the preview one. This is what I get:
