If your iPad won't charge – Apple Support

Charge and monitor the iPad battery - Apple Support

As described your battery may require replacement. Assuming that the iPad remains functional, you would be well advised to directly contact Apple Support - and request a remote battery test. The result of the test may better inform your next steps.

You will find the Contact Support link at top-right of this page. Alternatively, you can open a support case using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

As a further alternative, you might visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store - where the technicians will be able to test and assess you iPad.

I think you need to search online to locate and call contact your nearest, “local” Apple Store location to try/attempt to make an appointment to get your Apple iPad diagnosed and options presented to you.

Bring your charge cable and Apple power/charging adapter block with you, also.

OR, failing that,

Contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities.

Use the Hardware Repair, Battery & Charging, Device Performance and Connectivity support categories.

OR

by installing and using the Apple Support app found in the iOS App Store.

Tap the iOS App Store link below.

OR

Call contact Apple via the support numbers found in the link bekow.

I think Apple is making their products not to last for a few years, so that we will spend more monies on their products. My problem is I have a 2019 I pad 7th generation and it is not taking a charge. I tried all steps and it is still not taking a charge. i want to get another Apple product, but I'm kind of leary of Apple products. Even though they are expensive they are not worth the expense. My I pad did not last two years.
