Can A1048 keyboard be used on Apple Air?

The A1048 is a USB hard wired keyboard. It probably could be "made to work" with a MacBook Air, but why not a more modern or wireless option? You don't say what vintage Air you are talking about but the new ones use a USB C connection for hardwired devices.
