Macmini M1 verses Macmini Intell not impressed

Well I not currently impressed with the new Mac mini M1 but maybe I am comparing two totally diffenrt systems . I just got the standard Mac mini M1 with 8 gig memory and 256 Gig drive. I am not worried about storage because I use a 8 Tb SSD shared . My old system is a 2019 Intel Mac mini running an I3 at 3.6 Ghz with 32 gig ram and a 8 Gig radeon Rx 580 External Graphics card .

Running a few graphics program and notice that the M1 has a hard time keeping up moving items around as there seems to be a bit of a lag video wise . Yes the system boots a lot faster but I rarely turn it off so not a big deal either way . File reads and writes seem somewhat faster but I find the intel Mac mini handles things a bit smoother . Both are running the same make and model of a 27 Inch 4k monitor and same keyboard / mouse setup (Magic ) .

It does seem to run a lot cooler than the older Mac mini .

Guess I will have to wait and see how things go when the graphic programs I use are updated for the m1 chip . I mainly use blender , Inkscape and Cura none of which I saw an update for M1 .

It blows away my older 2017 iMac and 2019 MacBook Pro both of which are still very good systems .
