Off the top… Use a robust password, use unique passwords across all accounts, resolve any password recommendations, and enable two-factor authentication. Verify your trusted telephone numbers and contact info are correct. Verify only your devices are listed in the devices associated with your Apple ID. Verify your security questions (effectively “junior passwords”) are not known to others. Ensure your password-reset mail accounts also have robust passwords. Resolve any password recommendations listed by Apple. Keep your Mac and your apps patched to current. Encrypt your storage. If your password is exposed, change it. Etc.

if you enable two factor
Change your password on a regular basis and make sure it is complex. The iCloud system has very good security.
