My phone calls make me sound like a robot
I have an XR iPhone and when I’m on a call it makes me sound like a robot! I will hang up and call back but it’s often times still an issue.

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with the audio during calls. Check the microphones first by using these steps: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working
If you're still having an issue, let us know more details:
- Does this happen in all locations, and with all calls?
- Are you able to record a voice memo and play it back clearly?
- What about if you use headphones, does the same behavior occur?
