Why not low power mode on ipad???

iPads have a more powerful power supply to power the iPad's components and screen.

So, hard to have a low power mode on larger screen iPads/tablets.

Not going to happen.

It is the way it is.

There is NO low power mode on Apple MacBooks, either.

Never has been.

Same idea.

Because iPads, and tablet computers, in general, have much larger and longer lasting batteries than those found in your typical smart phone.
