I just purchased a new iWatch6 but I do not own am iPhone to link with it.

I just purchased a new iWatch6 but I do not own am iPhone to link with it. It just keep saying link with iPhone. Is it possible to use the iWatch without an iPhone?

Well yes basically you need an iPhone as well. Just in the Family setup you are not required to have one for each.
