How to easily repeat/loop 16 sec video for 1 hour audio track on iMovie

Hi,

I have an audio meditation that lasts an hour and want to place a looping nature video so there is some sort of visual for uploading to youtube.

The video I have is only about 16 seconds. Is there an easy way to duplicate the video or loop it so it keeps running through the duration of the audio?

Thanks

Put your video in the timeline. Select it by clicking on it. Do an Edit/Copy. Then do an Edit/Paste multiple times to paste the video over and over in the timeline. After you do 10 pastes, select the 10 clips as a batch, and do Edit/Copy of all 10 at once and Edit/Paste 10 at a time for several times. Then select the whole batch of what you have pasted, and Copy-Paste the whole batch several times as before. Repeat the process until you have your 1 hour video.

Unavoidable, unfortunately. There is no iMovie feature to export a looping movie. So, you must replicate the clips as I described. That will of course increase the size of the movie. The time factor is pretty negligible -- probably about 2 minutes. Video editing is not a fast endeavor, however.

You can do a View/Loop Playback in iMovie, but the loop will not carry over to the exported video.

After you export the movie you can open it in QuickTimePlayer and do a View/Loop.
