On the iPhone >> Settings >> General and look for Software Update. Make sure the iPhone is connected to a reliable Wifi and plugged into charger.

Make sure the iPhone has enough Empty Space to the upgrade may not function.

What is the Age / Model of the iPhone ?? What version of iOs is installed right now ??

If the iPhone is too Old for any Newer iOS - that would explain why no Update is available
