Sharing health data with family

In Apple's support page "See activity and health reports for family members" linked below:

https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/see-health-and-activity-reports-apd6b2bcdb19/watchos

after the section titled "See an activity report" it says:

"If your family member has allowed you to, you can see additional information about their activity as well as body measurement, hearing health, and heart rate information.

  1. Open the Health app on your iPhone, then tap Browse.
  2. Tap the name of your family member under Shared Health Data.
  3. Tap Health Categories, then tap a category."

Activity goals are being shared through the Fitness app under the "shared" tab. However, the actual information and format doesn't match the "See an activity report" example in the link, and there is no option to view it in the "Health" app as described in the link. I also I don't see any option to actually allow health data sharing in either the "Health" or "Fitness" app for things like hearing health, heart rate, etc.

What am I doing wrong, or has this feature been removed in the migration from the "Activity" to "Fitness" app?

Thanks for any help!

(I'm using an Apple Watch 6 running OS 7.4.1 connected to an iPhone 12 Pro Max running OS 14.5.1.)

Yes those are actually two quite separate things. Sharing of personal health data like that is part of Family Setup only:

Set up an Apple Watch for a family member - Apple Support

While activity sharing is possible with any of your friends and is only focusing on workouts and closing the rings:

Share your activity from Apple Watch - Apple Support

In activity sharing no other health or personal information get's shared with the other person:
