Using HomePod mini as speakerphone with Zoom or Microsoft Teams

How can you use a HomePod mini as a speakerphone with Zoom or Microsoft Teams? It appears as a speaker option on regular or FaceTime calls, but isn’t listed when I use Teams or Zoom. Thanks.

Hello jalar,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are wanting to know how to use your HomePod Mini for your Zoom or Microsoft team meetings. We would love to provide support on this.

HomePod mini is made and produced by Apple. Zoom and Microsoft Teams are apps that can be downloaded and used on your Mac/iPhone where FaceTime or regular calls are "built" with the Mac/iPhone. This statement explains that in order for Zoom or Microsoft to be compatible with your HomePod mini the manufacturer or developer would have to update those services to be compatible with your HomePod mini.

Thank you for allowing our support community to help.

Have an awesome and productive day!
