False Steps in Vehicles Question

Hi, Do apple watches, (I'm thinking of buying the series 6 watch) track false steps if your in a vehicle and the trip is rather bumpy? I have had fitbit trackers and they get fooled by bumpy car rides and I have to go in and manually fix my steps. It isn't the greatest plan since manually fixing doesn't give me an accurate read.

Yes it happens with the apple watch too,a couple of workarounds;

Take the watch off in the car.

Turn off fitness tracking and back on again to start your walk/workout.
