Range Rover Evoque 2021 Bluetooth issues

I have a new car - the Bluetooth connects but disconnects frequently whilst playing music / on phone .

Range Rover say it is an Apple issue as all software is up to date.

So annoying.

any advice / similar experiences?

Hello WYD2021,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! We understand you are experiencing some issues connecting your iPhone to your new car via Bluetooth. We are happy to help provide some guidance.

Are you connecting your iPhone to your car and using CarPlay, or are you just using it as a regular Bluetooth connection? You can see the different ways you can connect your iPhone to your car in this helpful guide:

How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car

We'd also like to ask a few additional questions to get a better understanding of the situation.

  • What iOS version is your iPhone on? You can check in Settings > General > About
  • Do you have any other Bluetooth devices that you connect to your iPhone? Do those other Bluetooth connections also frequently drop connections?
  • Do other devices you connect to your car also drop the Bluetooth connection?

Keep us updated on how it goes and the answers to those questions.

Cheers!

When you get a chance, try forgetting the remembered Bluetooth connection and re-pair the iPhone with your car to see if that changes the behavior. Also, do you know if the new car is CarPlay enabled? If it is CarPlay enabled, try connecting it that way to see how that goes:

Use CarPlay with your iPhone

Since the issue only seems to happen with your vehicle and not other Bluetooth devices paired with your iPhone, it seems that the issue might be with the Bluetooth signal being output from the car stereo. We would recommend checking to make sure there aren't any firmware updates available for your vehicles car stereo.

If you need additional support beyond that, we would advise reaching out to Apple Support directly using the following link: Get Support

Cheers.

Thanks for keeping us updated on this. When you say that other devices do not drop connection, are you referring to other devices that are connected to your car, or other Bluetooth devices you connect to your iPhone?

Have you tried forgetting the remembered Bluetooth connection that your iPhone has with the car and re-pairing it to see if the same issue occurs?
