Looks like FCPX has made a change. When I try to upload to YouTube, it now has YouTube & Facebook together. When I try to send my video to YouTube & Facebook, I have to save it to a file first. I do that and it doesn't show up in YouTube or Facebook. Now I see I have to open YouTube with another browser and upload that way. I've tried several things and nothing works. Why did FCPX make this change and what am I doing wrong? HELP! Thanks.

We don't know for sure, but it seems that may have to do with youtube licensing. For example, you have to declare if your video is appropriate for children and a few other things.
While it is an extra step, it is not at all difficult. You open youtube in your browser, login (if not already), then click the Create button:
and choose Upload Video.
Drag your file and fill the details.

Thanks for the reply Tom, but ever since I got my Mac and FCPX 5 years ago, I had never uploaded anything to YouTube or Facebook. It's always been done through FCPX. I'm at a lose now on how to save a video to FCPX then open my browser to upload to YouTube or Facebook. Why did they make this change? Seems pretty dumb and annoying to me. What were these geniuses thinking. What are the step by step instructions to upload to YouTube & Facebook? Can you walk me through it? Thanks, Don

I've heard it was a security decision. There's a huge amount of malware getting in through Google account. Go to your YT and select YouTube Studio. Click the upload button
You have to manually upload the file to YT through their website.
