Key framing text appearing word by word (as I say it)

Tried to find a way to do it for several days already.

I know the "Typewriter" title - but you can't keyframe it to appear word by word as I pronounce them.

The same thing with all the "Custom" title "In"-settings. No way to keyframe text to appear as I say it. Only general limited sliders that are of no use for that...

Am I missing something?

Is there some plug-in that can do it?

I am learning FCP after DaVinci - and there was a very simple way to type any amount of text into the text box and keyframe appearing it as I say those words. I just can't see how it's done in FCP.

Please help... can't solve this for several days already...

The problem with the Custom title is that, although is shows the Custom speed option, it doesn't supply the slider that allows you to keyframe the progress.

You can try this out:

It's very simple. It has two parameters: Spread (how many words will fade in at once - recommended either 0 or 1) and the Show Words slider (in percent). It is set at 100% by default, but can be keyframed from 0 to 100.

Any text change options you need can be handled in the Text Inspector.

Wow! That's really it!

Thank you a lot (I've spent so much time searching for this solution)

How did you do that? :) In Motion?

Offtopic:

Do you know how many times I can ask questions here? (so that it's not an abuse)

I mean I tend to spend hours on end trying to figure out a solution myself or find an answer by googling it and shy away from asking all the time (it's not my first question though), maybe I shouldn't?
