iOS Map with Speedometer/Timeline History?
Hello, just got off the phone with a few representatives from Apple Support, they were very kind. And although my concerns weren’t met, a particular representative did suggest I submit this idea to the Apple community, so here goes.
Earlier today 05/20/2021 I was pulled over on the New Jersey Turnpike by a representative of United States Law. To be clear I am a minority class on three accounts (a bipoc, lgbt, woman) and yes the cop was indeed a white male. Now that that is out of the way..
I was pulled over and profiled, I drove from North Carolina to New York City. My car has North Carolinian Plates.
The Officer claimed I was speeding, going 80 in a 55. A lie because it was rush hour and traffic was basically bumper to bumper. I am not familiar with the territory and was coming to my exit when he pulled me over.
Long story short I was given three summonses one for $220 one for $86 and another for $86 due 06/03/2021.
I live in a North Carolina and am only up here for a day. I won’t be able to fight the case in court (being that it is in New Jersey.)
I utilize a dash cam and called Apple Support to see if they had my travel history saved to help build evidence in my favor along with.
Sadly no, and before you say it, I wasn't using Google Maps or had my location services on.
I think this would be a great feature. Hopefully I beat the case.
Thank You Again Michael!
