iPhone storage

I have “16” gigabytes worth of storage on my iPhone 6s and about 3/4 of it is being used on “other” and “system” and everything on my phone slows down because of it and my battery dies quicker because of it. How do I fix this so I can actually use my promised 16 gbs?

The best way to eliminate "other" is to backup your phone, then restore it from backup. 16gb is not much storage in today's world. This is why Apple no longer sells ANY device with only 16gb.
