Erasing content & settings w a broken screen
The phone works but a small section of the screen doesn’t and that is where I need to select erase content and settings Before I return the phone.

If the device can turn on and connect to the Internet:
Erase a device in Find My iPhone on iCloud.com - https://support.apple.com/guide/icloud/erase-your-device-mmfc0ef36f/icloud
or:
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support - "A factory restore erases the information and settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod and installs the latest version of iOS or iPod software." This uses iTunes on a computer.
