During firmware revive, getting following error -


(AMRestoreErrorDomain error 6 - failed to handle msg type StatusMsg)

Dead mac and host mac are both 2019 mac book pro intel based having bigsur.


Is there some hardware issue in daed Mac?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

And what was the issue prior to initiating a " firmware revive" ? This may be a clue.

So, upgrade or update dont seem issue as updated to big sur few months back.

If any auto update, it hould show effect during restart i think.

Followed same instruction as in link you shared.


Tried with non intel based 2019 mac book air, with built in t2 chip, same. Error came.

Tried with one having catelina 10.15.7, intel based mac book air 2019, error 10 or 12 came.
