I am currently running a USB-C to DP adaptor from my M1 Mac Mini to my Dell P2715Q and cannot increase the refresh rate in the displays section of system preferences. I also have an HP 23es connected through HDMI that is running at 60 Hertz.
I'm assuming this is a cable issue. If so, what connectivity should I use to allow the monitor to increase to 60 Hertz?

This thread ended up solving the problem. Ended up following these steps to get everything working with the USB-C to DP cable:
I'm afraid this has not solved the problem. I have a USB-C to HDMI adaptor that supports 4k 60 hertz running to a high-speed HDMI cable to the monitor, and there is still no option in display preferences to increase refresh rate.
Any other advice?
Looks like that Display also has an HDMI input.
If so, you can use an Apple or compatible third-party USB-C to HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable.
