Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. If we're understanding correctly, you're unable to locate the Messages app on your iPhone. We can help point you in the right direction.
If you're on the latest version of iOS 14, you can locate the Messages app in the App Library. Once you locate the Messages app, you can touch and hold the app and select, "Add to Home Screen."
