Hi muzzolini,

Assuming that your device specifications are correct (MacBook Pro 15", macOS High Sierra):

1. Open System Preferences, then select Users and Groups.
2. For each user that appears, select it in the list, then check whether "Allow user to administer this computer" is enabled or not.

If at least one user has that checkbox checked, use their credentials to authorize password prompts.

If no users have that checkbox checked, please let me know.
