How to transfer Gmail contacts to iCloud contacts?

Go to https://contacts.google.com/ - sign in if necessary.

In the sidebar click 'Export'. In the pop-up choose 'All contacts' and 'vCard' and click 'Export'. Save when prompted: it will go to your Downloads location.

Go to https://www.icloud.com/contacts/

Click the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Import vCard'. Navigate to the file you exported from Google.
