Help how do I charge an iPhone 12 Pro Max in a 2017 Toyota Tacoma (USB connection)?

My 2017 Toyota Tacoma has a USB connection but I cannot figure out what cables I need to charge my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

It is incredibly frustrating as I upgraded both my iPad and iPhone and now I have dozens of cables, chargers, USB ports that are redundant and I cannot use/interchange the new cables/chargers for my iPad Pro 2nd generation with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Please if someone can help. Thanks

You are correct, my bad. But any standard one from a previous iOS device should work. Or yes, buying one specifically for use in the truck.

As such, the one for the iPad was USB-C to USB-C, not USB-A.

So one needs to buy USB-C to USB-A for iPad and Lightning to USB-A for iPhone.

The iPad Pro uses a USB-C port for charging, which means you need a USB-C to USB-A cable which should have been included with the iPad.

The iPhone however uses a Lightning Port, so you need a lightning to USB-A cable which also came with the iPhone in the box.

They are physically different connections, and one does not fit in thew other, so there should not be much issue in identifying the one that works with the specific device.
