email split screen on iPad

If viewing email in the iOS Mail app, with the iPad in Landscape orientation ( horizontal orientation ), you cannot get rid of all the mail columns/panels to see just the entire email content window full screen.

The Inbox column will always remain.

IF you turn your iPad vertically in portrait orienetaation, you CAN slide away both thinner mail panels to see your email content window/area full screen.

We understand that when using Split View on your iPad and opening an email, you’re seeing both the open email and the inbox list on the left. Does this also happen when Mail is the only open app? Has this ever worked as you’re desiring?

Can you verify which version of iPadOS we’re working with? That’s in Settings > General > About.
