Though not an option, it is something you might want to recommend to Apple. They wont get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what their customers prefer, and what to include in future model to come.

So, Recommend it to Apple:

1. Go to: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: on why you think this should be added
4. Proceed from there as necessary

No. That is not possible. You cannot charge your MacBook Air by using your iPhone or an iPad.
