IPAD PRO 10.5 Model MQDY2B/A

Can I use an Apple Pencil with this model?

I have tried a 1st Generation and the connection is not compatible.

The original, 1st gen Pencil IS THE ONLY Pencil compatible with your model iPad Pro.

The original 1st gen Pencil is the one with the chromed/silver/metallised top band that has a protective, magnetic cap that covers the Lighnng connector used to charge and pair the 1st gen Pencil to your 10.5 inch screen iPad Pro.

Perhaps your Pencil is faulty.

Make sure the tip of the Pencil is screwed on securely and snugly ( NOT TOO TIGHT! ).

Then, try all of the troubleshooting tips in this Apple Website Webpage support link.

If still no joy,

The Pencil may be defective.

Bring both the iPad and Pencil into your nearest, “local” Apple Store for diagnosis, testing, evaluation and options, like replacement.

Good Luck!
