MacBook Air tabs won't close

on my iPhone I have tabs from my MacBook Air that aren't on my computer and I try to close them, only to have them open right after. I have restarted both my computer and iPhone and have not had them go away. what is going on?

How to completely reset Safari iCloud tabs on MacOS and iOS devices? I have two Macs, an iPhone and an iPad. Each of these devices has, for one or more of the other devices, a list of Safari iCloud tabs that does not reflect the tabs actually open on the device. For example: My iPhone shows five tabs open on my main Mac. My iPad shows three - a different three. And my second Mac shows 30+ tabs open on my main Mac. The correct answer is one: this page I'm typing upon. Another example: My iPad shows two tabs open on my iPhone. My Macs show one. The correct answer is one. If I try delete one of the zombie tabs from another device, it immediately re-appears. What I'd like to do is completely reset iCloud tabs - delete them all. There is no important data to lose here so I'm OK with this. How can I do this?

How do I clear old Safari Tabs from other devices? In Safari on my iPhone it shows my MacBook Pro has tabs open that have not been open for a long time now pictured below. If I open a new tab it adds to the list and will disappear after the tab is closed. In addition when I one tabs on the iPhone they are available in macOS Safari on the computer. I have cleared my history and website data on the iPhone and on the MacBook Pro but this remains. Does anyone have any recommendation to get rid of these tabs?

We understand that you are having difficulties in closing tabs in Safari on your iPhone. These tabs were ones that were on your MacBook Air. This sounds like you are using iCloud Tabs to share the open tabs between your devices. We would recommend taking a look at this support article on using iCloud Tabs, to include closing tabs on your devices. Closing shared tabs is a little different than closing tabs created on the device.
