Logitech K850 not working with my iPad.

I recently got a new iPad 8, and was instantly excited to hook up all of my hardware (keyboard, MIDIs, mice) but when I tried to connect my K850 keyboard, it didn’t work. It would always say (I’m paraphrasing here), “Couldnt connect. Your item took too long to connect”, and I majorly prefer writing on an actual keyboard, and I got really ****** off.

Anyone know how to fix this? Also, I’ve turned it on and off several times before so it didn’t waste battery, so don’t think stuff like that would help.
