Pairing new phone with Apple Watch

I recently got a new phone and forgot to disable my Apple Watch. Now my Apple Watch is saying I have too many failed login password attempts and it’s completely locked. I Tried pairing it with my new phone and the same message keeps popping up. I never had a password for my Apple Watch, so I don’t really understand why it says that. I can’t pair or access my watch in any way, shape or form. I have no way of getting into my watch. Help what do I do?

To unpair and erase watch and remove Activation Lock.

On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Go to Find Iphone.

Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase Apple Watch.

Select Next until the device is erased.

Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.

Then go here;

And now to pair the watch with my new phone.
