What Files Should Be In iTunes Folder?

My laptop has 2 500GB internal HDD's in it. I just recently installed a new 500GB HDD and had to reinstall Windows 7 and all my programs as a result, including iTunes. Prior to doing that, I had saved the entire iTunes folder to my external HDD. When I reinstalled iTunes, I immediately started iTunes, then went to "Edit", "Preferences" and then the "Advanced" tab where I changed the default location of the iTunes Media Folder to "D:\iTunes". I then closed iTunes and copied the entire iTunes folder on my external HDD over to my 2nd HDD (the D:\ drive) in my laptop. I had some trouble getting my music imported into iTunes (I had a problem with duplicate tracks appearing), but I got that straightened out). Anyway, there is now a folder called iTunes located at "C:\My Music\iTunes" which contains the following folders & files

Album Artwork (folder)
iTunes Media (folder)
iTunes Library Extras.itdb (file)
iTunes Library Genius.itdb (file)
iTunes Library.itl (file)
iTunes Music Library.xml (file)
Sentinel (file)

I believe this folder and the files in it was created as soon as I opened iTunes for the first time. I NEVER had ANY music stored in here.

On my D:\ drive, I have an "iTunes" folder that I created there and this is where I have the default folder location set in iTunes. It contains the following folders and files:

Album Artwork (folder)
Automatically Add to iTunes (folder)
Music (folder; this is where all my ripped CD's are stored)
Previous iTunes Libraries (folder)
.iTunes Preferences.plist (file)
iTunes Library Extras.itdb (file)
iTunes Library Genius.itdb (file)
iTunes Library.itl (file)
iTunes Library.itl.backup (file)
iTunes Library.itl.original (file)
iTunes Library.xml (file)
iTunes Music Library.xml (file)
Sentinel (file)

What files are SUPPOSED to be in my iTunes folder? Are there files/folders in my "D:\iTunes" folder that are not necessary and can be deleted without causing a problem? Can I delete the iTunes folder located at "C:\My Music\iTunes" without messing up my iTunes?

Thanks,

Dennis
