Macbook Pro screen goes black and flashes pink and reboots

Since the M1 has no SMC or NVRAM the equivalent is shut down, close the lid 30 secs+

and reboot into SafeBoot Mode to clear system cache:

I would think that's a video card issue?

is the Mac under warranty still?
