iPad Pro 12.9” 2021 “Screen Shadow”

Hello

My new iPad Pro 12.9” 2021 has a light shadow around the edges

I visited the Apple store today and there all the same 12.9” models have the same “shadow” arroud the boarder so I think it’s because of the new mini LED technology. I took a closer look at the pro xdr display and it has the same “shadow”

The iPhone Camera makes the “shadow” stand out even more but it’s noticeable by your eye especially on a white page.

The guys in the apple store couldn’t give me a technical explanation.

What should I do? Should I live with it or…?

With full array mini LED screens, edge shadowing is normal.

This is a hardware characteristic of the full array mini LED screen technology.

Has NOTHING to do with software.

Also, there is a certain degree of display blooming, as well.

Also, normal.

Full array mini-LED screens are a step up from standard LED screens, but ARE different from the more expensive OLED display screen panels.

There are some compromises with full array mini LED display panels.

Learn to live wit it.

It is inherent in the mini-LED screen technology.
