how can i remove the previous played tracks when opening quicktime

When I open QuickTime from the dock, a list of previously played tracks are listed and will not clear. How can I remove them?

Restart QuickTime Player as well (Quit, then open again), after clearing the menu as mentioned above, to force the Dock to update the recent items list as well.

If that doesn’t do it, you may try to restart the Dock as well. You can restart the Mac to restart the Dock, or you can restart the Finder to also restart the Dock, or restart just the Dock from Terminal.
