Apple Watch charge wont work
USB-A Charge, purchased May 21, is not working. tried several USB outlets including Apple brand USB. Still no charge produced
Apple has a 2-week no questions asked return policy

Suggest you return it, and then purchase a new one. Better than waiting around for a repair to a defective unit.
Or perhaps when you go into the Apple Store to return it, they would just give you a new charging cable. Could happen 😀
