Action bar on the menu

@Bailer

I tried to reply to your questions on my previous question, but the system won’t let me post this. I’ll try it this way.

Hi, sorry for the delay in answering you. I had tried last weekend, and it kept saying it couldn’t process the reply, so I gave up.

The devise I’m having the most trouble with is my IPhone 11 Pro, but it’s also an issue on my IPad Pro 2016, or any Apple devise, I would assume.

The “actions” is a drop down menu accessed by clicking on the box with an arrow in it. On the iPhone this box is at the bottom of the screen. You can scroll down through different actions; copy, print, add to favorites, ...

Then after those actions there is in Blue Bold letters Edit Actions. When you click on that it gives you other options to add or delete. I know I was able to add in my own programs before, I just can’t remember how. I’ll try to add a picture so you can get an idea what I mean. Idk if the screenshots were the reason my comment wouldn’t load last time, but I did take them out and it still wouldn’t accept it.

That’s the screen on the iPhone, the top picture is of my iPad, and the action box is on the top menu.

I hope this helps explain what I’m looking to change. I want to add in Evernote, Copy Me That, and drop some of the actions like open in Apollo, Pinterest, 1Password. There should be a way to customize these menus.

Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.

Hello pblask!

We would be more than happy to provide you with information on how to add apps to your action box.

When you click on the action button, you should be able to slide the apps/actions to the left. At the end, it will say 'More'. Click on 'More', and it will allow you to add apps that are compatible for use with the app you are adding the action for.

Have a great day!

Hello again pblask,

Thank you for the information!

The options that you are seeing in the 'Edit Actions' and 'More' sections depends on the application you are using at the time. You can learn more about adding options here: How to share music to Facebook, Instagram, or Snapchat on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

Please note that these are the same steps to add any available actions/programs to the current app you are using.

Take care!

Thank you for answering me! I had explained it better in a previous post. I knew about the more option on the horizontal menu bar, the problem with that is with some programs, Dropbox specifically, when I save it in the horizontal bar it saves it as a shared file, where the vertical down drop menu saves it to the folder I want, and not as a shared file. The ‘more’ option on the horizontal menu bar has some of the usual programs, most of them I’ve already entered. I guess I’m used to using the down drop action menu, since that one doesn’t involve sending it to emails, messages, etc. Just something I have in my head, the down menu is business related, the horizontal mostly personal.

I may have entered as many programs as I can, it’s possible the other ones weren’t allowed. But is there a way to add to the vertical menu? Even under ‘Edit Actions’ I’m not seeing a way to go beyond their suggested programs.

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it!
