I forgot my iPad passcode

I HAVE AN IPAD AND I FORGOT THE PASSCODE IVE TRIED CONNECTING IT TO MY COMPUTER BUT ITS NOT GETTING THE CONNECTION. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
