how to delete file "bash"?

hello awesome people!

I have a little struggle here.

I have here not personal (working station) iMac and noticed a strange process asking for a permission on every startup.

It's called "bash", and google told me its a scam that slows down machine and causes a strange behavior like sudden restart or finder drops off or total freeze so I have to force turn off.

I found out that this is a kind of a virus.

This drives me crazy and I couldn't find any solution on how to get rid of this nasty file.

This file sits in a hidden folder in the root of a HDD in the folder "bin".

When trying to delete this file ("bash") I can hear an alert sound and nothing happens.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Bash is a critical component of macOS so you do not want to delete it, besides it is located on a read-only system area of the drive. Never delete any files located outside of the "/Users" folder as all other files/folders outside of the "/Users" folder are for macOS.

If this is a work computer, then does your company's IT Department setup or manage your computer? If so, then contact them for assistance.

If you setup and manage your own work computer, then it sounds like you may have some other sort of software issue or malware installed. Run MalwareBytes to see if any malware is detected. If the system is clean, then to look for other possible software issues run EtreCheck and post the report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.
