magic keyboard gestures (copy/paste)

Hi,

I’ve just bought an almost new magic keyboard & I just wanted to check if it’s working correctly, most of it seems fine, but I can’t copy & paste text with a two fingered tap of the trackpad. I have since discovered that I have to actually click with two fingers to get it to work, that’s fine (though weird) if that’s just how it works, but if taps should work then obviously there is a fault. I do have ‘tap to click’ enabled in settings & two fingered taps do work in other contexts (bringing up options on app icons for example) but not for copying & pasting text
