Hi! Working with After effects and my brand new 2019 MacBook gets slow and live update in AE gets problematic. Have set the resultion to low in AE, 13 GB specified to AE in ram, cleaned cache...

Check for software updates for macOS and for Adobe After Effects, and compare the specs of your Mac with the Adobe After Effects requirements:
If you are using an add-on cache-cleaning app, or any add-on anti-malware or add-on anti-virus apps, or any add-on VPN apps, remove all those per the vendors’ instructions, reboot, and try your tests again.
Then check with Adobe Support, the vendor for the app.
