Bridge 4.4 kernel Bug issue. Mojave 2021

Wanted to reply to the last post on this thread, but wouldn't allow me to directly reply to MarkWalker-NL

Previous post:

"I have installed the new security update 2020-007 Mojave without any crash reports after a restart. The T2 BridgeOS has been changed from version 17.16.16610.0.0 to 18.16.13030.0.0 (compare T2 BridgeOS for Big Sur 11.1 is verion 18.16.13017.5.3)

Two days without a crash report! Finally fixed but unfortunate that this took 9 months without a single statement from Apple and three unanswered emails to Tim Cook."

I have been having the shutdown issue a lot on my Macbook Prio 2018 recently.

If I upgrade to the new security update, should I be ok?

Also, can someone please tell me how do I check the T2 bridgeOS version? I cannot find this

Many thanks!

We need to see the fill etrecheck report...

It will not display any personal info.

https://www.etrecheck.com/

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report if you capture the URL while there…

https://pastebin.com/

Whew, they've changed pastebin & made it harder, but after pasting in, click Create new paste button, then Embed button, then copy the URL...

<script src="https://pastebin.com/embed_js/KuvnghqA"></script>

The important part of the above is between the quote marks...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...

Hi, thanks for your reply

Sorry I am a bit confused by this. I was trying to reply to a thread about the Kernel Bug Crashing problem, likely due to T2 chip. My Mac tech knowledge is pretty low. In my previous post/question, the man who wrote the statement said after updating Mojave security update he no longer got the crashes. I've been getting the crashes many times per day making it very hard to work.

"The T2 BridgeOS has been changed from version 17.16.16610.0.0 to 18.16.13030.0.0"

The number I was looking for was the above. If you understand.

It seems to be possibly be triggered/made worse by a connection to the USB-C of a lead going to an amplifier.

Regarding your post, I searched in ~/Library/Group Containers but there is no xxxxxxx.group.com.apple.configurator/Library/Logs folder

Sorry i'm pretty confused, just trying to work out if I can fix this crashing issue without having to upgrade to Big Sur, as I use 32 bit apps for work.

Any help greatly appreciated!

This is a copy of the text from the top of a recent crash report:

{"caused_by":"macos","macos_version":"Mac OS X 10.14.6 (18G9216)","os_version":"Bridge OS 5.4 (18P4663)","macos_system_state":"running","incident_id":"7EAC4F7C-7E44-4B22-B290-8B1074243943","timestamp":"2021-05-27 19:17:09.00 +0000","bug_type":"210"}

If it isn't listed in system Report, might ry this???

4. Closer look at BridgeOS versioning

Apple Configurator 2 logs are stored in ~/Library/Group Containers/xxxxxxx.group.com.apple.configurator/Library/Logs

For some reason 2.12.1 no longer creates a log, this problem looks like a bug.

The plist containing what BridgeOS ipsw file is used is located at the web address below.

https://mesu.apple.com/assets/bridgeos/com_apple_bridgeOSIPSW/com_apple_bridgeOSIPSW.xml

Looking at the xml file, I need to find my 2019 16″ MacBook Pro. Regular Model Identifiers or BoardIDs are not used here. You need to find the iBridge ProductID. Below is a snippet of the above .xml file. Below the version of BridgeOS = 17P6610
