My cd import from an external drive will not complete a single track. The disc is clean but no import happens.

I’m looking to import my cds into my library. The disc reads fine and the music program fetches the appropriate track names, but then I try to import I get a waiting icon in front of the drive (and not the first track) and it waits forever on the first track.

Superdrive imports way too fast. Hi, Is there any way to slow down the import speed on the superdrive. It'll play a CD just fine without skipping. When I import the exact same CD into Music, it skips like it's scratched up. There are no fingerprints, scratches, or marks of any kind on my CDs. It's doing this with all my CDs. My theory is that the Superdrive is importing the CDs way too fast. It's shaking my desk when it imports. I've done all that I know to try and slow it down. I've turned on error correction, didn't slow it. I've opened the CD in finder and made a copy of the CD without the Music program. Can someone please help me? Thanks, Tina

Not possible to de-select tracks for CD import With Music version 1.1.1.3 the CD import functionality is not working as it should. I am not able to un-select tracks on a CD before importing. When I click the "tick-box" nothing happens. Does anyone else experience this issue - and has someone found a fix?

Import a CD to Music App using Big Sur 11.6 Hi, I have a new 2020 MacBook Air. I'm trying to import a CD into the Music library using an external drive. I've searched the Community and can't find any answers that match my experience. There is no import CD option in the Music App or any pop up There are no options under preferences/general/files/import settings that mention CD import other than the "use error correction when reading audio CDs" tickbox which has no impact. If it is only happening on one CD, suspect the CD, even if it looks "clean." If it is happening on all CDs, you may have an issue with your disc drive.
