I changed my password and immediately could not get into my phone. I must have the new password incorrectly. There are a few permutations of the password that may work, but i already guessed 11 times and i need to know how many more guesses I am allowed before the phone locks me out permanently.
How many total guesses are allowed before the phone locks completely. This is my second 1 hour disable, 11th guess.

We understand you're having an issue with your iPhone being disabled due to an incorrect passcode being entered. We'd be happy to help you out with that.
The timer for the wait time to try again may increase a great deal with subsequent tries. With this particular issue, you'll want to follow the steps in this link: If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled
This does involve using a computer (Windows or macOS) to erase the device fully. If you have a backup from prior to this happening, you may be able to restore from that to recover your data.
